Gogo WiFi lands in more US Airways Airbuses and Embraers

US Airways WiFi

Gogo isn’t just tossing its mid-air wireless goodies toward American and Virgin, with US Airways being the latest to join the extra perks party. Per announcement, the airline is stuffing Gogo WiFi in a few more planes, including the Airbus A320 and Airbus A319. Other smaller aircraft, the Embraer 190, 175 and 170, are also getting the in-flight WiFi treatment. With the expansion, 90 percent of the airline’s mainline domestic fleet will be equipped with Wi-Fi service. Installation will begin this summer, and completion is expected by the end of 2013.

Kindle app now turns any Android tablet into a Kindle Fire

Kindle app for Android

I love my rooted Nook Color. I use the Android app for reading. It’s pretty funny, using the Nook Color with its SD card slot and lower price for doing what the “Fire” will do, only more. So easy to root and customize. I most excited about the latter as it enables plebes to send documents to their “Send-to-Kindle” email address, only to find files magically pushed to their device for later perusal. Finally! Have the (almost) perfect setup since most of my books were free ebooks, so I use the send-to feature. Kindle on iPad for around the house, the real Kindle (the new plain e-ink one) for traveling / outings, and now Kindle on Android so I can read at the office whenever I get a chance. Now if they’d just enable the send-to for the Kindle PC app.

Bethenny Frankel miscarriage

Reality TV star Bethenny Frankel (“Real Housewives of New York City,” “Bethenny Ever After”) revealed Monday that she recently suffered a miscarriage.

“We were pregnant with a second baby, and at eight weeks, I miscarried,” Frankel told Savannah Guthrie on NBC’s “Today.”

“That was a very emotional experience and [I began] thinking about women who can’t have their own baby, even the first baby. I’m really lucky,” said Frankel, who has a 21-month-old daughter, Bryn.

Mars Rover

Mars Rover

To Mars or bust! The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) launched the most advanced Mars rover to date into space November 26 on a 352 million-mile journey to the Red Planet. Once it lands, in August 2012, Curiosity will help the U.S. space agency determine whether Mars is, or once was, habitable to microbial life. The car-sized craft has 10 high-tech instruments to dig, drill, and shoot lasers into rocks to study their chemical makeup. Its cutting-edge cameras can capture details smaller than the width of a human hair. Curiosity’s findings will help NASA prepare for an...

Michelle Duggar has miscarriage

Duggar miscarriage

A miscarriage is a terrible thing for any family to go through. I hope they all lean on each other and support each other through this tough time. Hopefully they can prevent this in the future by using some sort of birth control for Michelle’s health. Even though she may still be able to conceive, it’s just not good for her body at this point! Those kids need their mom around to take care of them. I absolutely do not agree with the lifestyle they’ve chosen, but let’s all remember to have some compassion for them. They’re grieving a terrible...
