Reality TV star Bethenny Frankel (“Real Housewives of New York City,” “Bethenny Ever After”) revealed Monday that she recently suffered a miscarriage.

“We were pregnant with a second baby, and at eight weeks, I miscarried,” Frankel told Savannah Guthrie on NBC’s “Today.”

“That was a very emotional experience and [I began] thinking about women who can’t have their own baby, even the first baby. I’m really lucky,” said Frankel, who has a 21-month-old daughter, Bryn.

Dick Clark is becoming synonymous with New Year’s Eve, so it’s no real surprise the renowned television host is back to ring in 2012 and celebrate the 40th anniversary of his iconic program, “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.”

The Cairns-born 19-year-old is scheduled to star on the catwalk in the David Jones 2011 autumn/winter collection launch in Sydney on Tuesday, but in an awkward scenario she also features prominently in rival Myer’s autumn/winter campaign posing alongside Jennifer Hawkins. Oops. Shepherd is back on the runway after putting her career on hold to study set design in Sydney for a year. Prior to that, she had walked in all the major international shows and booked campaigns for Gucci and Miu Miu. With Myer’s much-publicised relationship hiccup with Hawkins’ management team, Shepherd could just be next on the short-list to step up to a lucrative ambassadorial role.

A miscarriage is a terrible thing for any family to go through. I hope they all lean on each other and support each other through this tough time. Hopefully they can prevent this in the future by using some sort of birth control for Michelle’s health. Even though she may still be able to conceive, it’s just not good for her body at this point! Those kids need their mom around to take care of them. I absolutely do not agree with the lifestyle they’ve chosen, but let’s all remember to have some compassion for them.
